The one that stood there

You don’t see what you possess, a beauty calm and clear
It floods the sky and blurs the darkness like a chandelier
All the light that you possess is skewed by lakes and seas
The shattered surface, so imperfect, is all that you believe

But for me, she is the one that stood there, just when they thought one can never have much more grace. She is the one that stood there.

So I am a mute. And I know it kills her not to hear anything.

And wipe the mark of sadness from my face
Show me that your love will never change
If my yesterday is a disgrace
Tell me that you still recall my name

I might not be the most literal of man. And by sadness, they see me in madness, in anger and foolishness.
And I am sorry for that.
And I am but a man who stare at the one that stood there.
