A late dinner talk

Thanks for the food Pop, I really can’t afford the steak if its not your treat

He said, I Thank you son, for the dinner won’t be a full family dinner if you’re not here.

I laughed, and I said…

…really, no kidding Pop, I was in the same restaurant a few weeks before, and I wanted to order the exact steak, and I choose not to for I have no money.

Well, really, son, I was in here too exactly last week, hoping for a full family dinner yet you can’t be here.

And all I can do is to finish the Steak.

Maybe for us, what we can afford and what we cannot is still at the utmost priority. But at the end, in his words, there are things you really cannot buy, and what’s a few piece of papers compared to that?
